The 15-45-15 Practice Model is a structure designed to maximize player development while accommodating two teams on the same sheet of ice during a 75 minute block. One team begins with 15 minutes of full-ice time, allowing for high-tempo drills, concepts, and situational work that require full length and width. This is followed by 45 minutes of shared-ice training, where both teams run skill-specific stations, small area games, and competitive battle drills in their designated half. The second team now ends the session with 15 minutes of full-ice time! By the end of the session, each team receives a full 60 minutes of high-quality ice ,balancing individual skill work with game-transfer scenarios while ensuring efficient ice usage and cost-effectiveness.

The 30-30-30 Practice Model offers a balanced approach to team development when two groups share the same ice. The structure begins with 30 minutes of full-ice time for the first team, creating space for flow drills, concepts, and full-length tactical execution. The next 30 minutes are shared, with both teams working simultaneously on half-ice stations, competitive drills, and small area games that emphasize pace and decision-making. The session closes with the second team receiving 30 minutes of full-ice time, ensuring both groups have equal opportunity to train in game-like, full-surface scenarios. This model provides each team with 60 minutes of high-quality ice time, combining the benefits of individual skill work, tactical teaching, and efficient ice allocation.
